Knorr-Bremse Division IFE takes over rail vehicle door business from Hübner

Mit Wirkung zum 1. Januar 2009 hat die Knorr-Bremse GmbH, Division IFE Automatic Door Systems, den Geschäftsbereich Türen für Schienenfahrzeuge von der Hübner GmbH erworben.
Knorr-Bremse GmbH, Division IFE Automatic Door Systems, acquires the rail vehicle door business from Hübner GmbH as of January 1, 2009
Knorr-Bremse will continue Hübner products for at least one year and honour all of its obligations with regard to servicing and spare parts supply. A decision concerning continued Hübner product use after this date will be made by the end of the 1st quarter of 2009, following detailed analysis and a survey of customer expectations.
Manufacturing and assembly of Hübner systems were already started in the IFE plant in Brno in late 2008. The takeover of customer projects including procurement and service activities will be completed in the 1st quarter of 2009.
Moreover, Hübner has pledged its full support for the future as well. Speaking about Knorr-Bremse, managing shareholder Reinhard Hübner said that he was confident to have found a partner customers can rely on and who will continue to manage this business segment successfully.
Thanks to the integration of customer projects, both vehicle manufacturers and operators will be able to profit from the long-standing and above all global experience enjoyed by the IFE team in the field of rail vehicle door systems.
